Gobekli Tours was created for the curious traveler — the one who is wondering about history, archaeology, mythology, and religions, and always ready to learn and discover.
Like Gobekli Tepe itself, tucked away in Southeast Turkey where you don’t see masses of mainstream tourists, we like to keep it small, focusing on private and personalized custom tours while providing a unique, unforgettable, and safe experience.
Born in the historical town of Harran, Taha has been showing interest in tourism and hospitality since childhood, and is now one of the most recognized and respected guides in Upper Mesopotamia. Graduated in Business Administration from Selçuk Üniversitesi, he also studied English in Miami, USA.
Taha has been guiding at Gobekli Tepe since 2010 when the site was far less known and barely accessible. Some of you might have even seen him giving a tour on an episode of History Channel’s Ancient Aliens(“Return to Gobekli Tepe”).
Based in Sanliurfa, he leads private tours across Gobekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, Sanliurfa, Harran, Mount Nemrut, Mardin, Halfeti, Sogmatar, Gaziantep, Midyat, Euphrates & Tigris valleys, and Cappadocia.
