Day tour Harran, Euphrates and Halfeti

Harran is today known more for its unusual 'beehive' adobe houses—a design unchanged for thousands of years. Their construction keeps them cool in the searing Mesopotamian summer heat. Harran is the place where Abraham the Prophet spent several years. It was once Helenopolis, featuring the remains of the oldest Islamic university, city walls dating from the 1st and 2nd century, six gates, and a citadel. Later head to Halfeti to board your private boat and cruise the legendary Euphrates River. Relax and enjoy views of the submerged Roman Castle (Rumkale), ancient caves, and the drowned minaret of Savasan Village.
